Combined with corn free ascorbic acid (vitamin C), these mineral ascorbates are in their most bioavailable form. Vitamin D-3 is added since it also aids calciums absorption. Most importantly, the Mineral Transport System® augments utilization by chelating both magnesium and calcium with amino acids (aminoate, citrate-aspartate, ascorbate and lysinate). Magnesium, present in a 1:1 ratio with calcium, provides sufficient magnesium for those groups vulnerable to deficiency. Those groups may include the elderly, low calorie dieters, diabetics, those on diuretics, exercisers, pregnant women and those who consume alcohol. Adequate calcium intake appears to be especially important during the first 30 years of life, while bones are increasing mineral content and bone density is being established. In the U.S., most adults are getting only 25% to 50% of their calcium requirements and find it necessary to supplement their intake to maintain good health. Cal-Mag 200-200 is available in a 150 capsule bottle. Each capsule contains the following U.S. Recommended Daily Value |
