Although the holiday season is over, the stress of the holiday season can linger. The holiday season is typically thought to be a joyful time spent with family and friends, but for some people the holidays are a time of stress and emotional strain. Problems arise when people feel overwhelmed with attending parties, gift giving, rushing around in crowded malls and busy traffic, and other outside pressures that may emerge. And, feelings of stress linger as people worry about post-holiday credit card balances. People deal with stress in different ways. Some suppress their fears and anxieties. Others take the defensive and often direct their aggressions toward loved ones. During this time, it is important to remember that a positive attitude is the key to creating and inner peace for which you may be searching. Not only does stress take its toll on you emotionally, but also affects your body and mind. This can damage your health and weaken your immune system.
